Kim has been a photo enthusiast since youth. In recent years a passion for capturing images had driven her to explore and further educate herself in the digital world. Equipped with her first digital camera, a return to the summer retreat offered grand landscape sunsets, untouched beach and woodlands, and the luxury of vacation relaxation as the perfect springboard to her future in photography.
Although not artistically trained, a keen eye for composition and colour were well suited to her fascination with flower portraits and landscapes. She became captivated with the natural surroundings and the way light played off every-day objects in its path. Several years later; Kim now focuses predominantly on the life cycle of flowers in her garden and unique blooms she encounters at her local florist.
Kim’s images have received awards in regional competitions and are a part of several private collections. She maintains an active membership with the Oakville Camera Club and belongs to the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
